Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Declutter: Photos, Files, Mail ("the app"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app.

What the app does

The app helps you find and remove photos, videos and apps you no longer want, clean up connected email accounts, compress large media, merge duplicate contacts, back up your phone book, and keep selected photos and videos in an encrypted, PIN-protected Vault. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

Your responsibility

Deleting files, uninstalling apps, cleaning up email, merging contacts and moving items into or out of the Vault are actions you confirm in the app. We are not responsible for data lost as a result of those actions, or of events outside our control such as a lost or damaged device, a factory reset or an uninstall. Please keep your own backups of anything important.

Email accounts

When you connect a mailbox, you authorize the app to act on it on your behalf for the actions you choose, such as moving mail to Trash, archiving, marking as read, blocking a sender or sending an unsubscribe request. Your use of each mailbox remains subject to your email provider's own terms. Unsubscribe requests are handled by the sender, and we cannot guarantee a sender honors them.

Secure Vault

The Vault is protected by a PIN you set, and you are responsible for remembering it. We do not store a copy of your PIN or Vault contents and cannot recover either if lost. Uninstalling the app or losing the device without a separate backup permanently deletes anything stored in the Vault.

Subscriptions

Premium and Vault Storage are optional subscriptions purchased and processed through Google Play Billing. They renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play. Pricing, billing and refunds are subject to Google Play's terms; refund requests go through Google Play.

Advertising

The free version of the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. Ads are subject to Google's own terms, and we do not control their content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, to access mailboxes you are not authorized to use, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the app.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will identify every similar photo, large file or unwanted email.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, files, email or Vault contents.

Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app or these terms from time to time. If these terms change, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change too. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue or restrict the app at our discretion.
